Car Shuts Off While Driving

I'm driving a 93 celica GT automatic. This car seems to have a winding noise when the accelerator is used. This problem happens about 95% of the time, the times that it doesn't happen is usually in the morning when I start to drive but some how later the noise comes along. I'm also having a lot of problems with it because it seems to start at a high rpm and then idles a lot. Very often it will shut off when I come to a start. Usually I'm able to get the car back on but it will cut off again when I put the car into drive. The A/C compressor and the Distributor were changed. Toyota is going to be putting in a new idle motor for the 2nd or 3rd time in a month. I feel like Toyota is messing around with me and are not doing the right thing, I feel like they're not fixing my car on purpose hoping I'll get fed up and get rid of it. My car on the outside is in amazing shape and its been in and out of the shop for the past 3 months with this same problem. I was told the winding noise is because of the new timing belt but I don't believe that because it started to make the noise 4 months after changing it. Supposedly they replaced the timing belt and it still makes the noise but I truly feel that all these problems are related. If anyone knows what I can do or what I should tell toyota is wrong please tell me.

Run the engine above idle with the hood open and locate the noise as best you can. Get a stethescope and use it. Then you will have an idea where the noise is coming from.
