Got a problemo. head bolts are off, but the heads are sealed on there pretty good. 20 years will do that. any idea on a trick for getting them off? other than a hammer and a block of wood, that one doesnt work for me it seems

dont ask ridge runner...hell tell you to use a sledgehammer. other than that i have no idea.

On a more serious note, I have heard that if you have some real big vice grips that you can clamp them over the whole head and use them as leverage.

lol thanks for the ideas. turns out a plastic 1lb hammer and a little muscle does the trick just fine.

In auto shop we couldnt get the head off this truck so we just rolled the engine hoist over and hooked it up and jacked that thing up....it damn near lifted the truck off the ground before the head popped off...
