The TV (Throttle Valve) cable on my 93 Grand AM SE (3.3) is shot and I have to replace it. Right now the cable is stuck in the WOT position, so I have to drive like a maniac to get it to shift up at all. Does anybody know the procedure for adjusting the cable?
Thanks
Thanks

From Chiltons
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Depress and hold the adjustment tap at the Throttle Valve (TV) cable adjuster.
Release the throttle lever by hand to its full travel position. On the 2.5L engine, press the accelerator pedal to the full travel position.
The slider must move toward the lever when the lever is rotated to the full travel position or when the accelerator pedal is pressed to the full travel position on the 2.5L engine.
Inspect the cable for freedom of movement. The cable may appear to function properly with the engine stopped and cold, so recheck the cable after the engine is warm. Don't forget to connect the negative battery cable first.
Road test the vehicle and check for proper shifting.

I put in the new cable and the car works beautifully. The old cable was in really bad shape. Make sure that you guys check this cable when the transmission doesn't shift properly. I bought it for 25 bucks. Thanks for the info Catback23.
