98 escort wagon tail light promblem

I am blowing fuse's for my tailights on my 98 escort wagon. Before I start searching for a short, I thought I would see if some one else has had this same problem and can offer some advice. Thanks in advance.

My `92 Wagon had the problem of blowing the bulb. The only way I got it to stop was completely sealing the cover, cause when it rained, the water was seeping into it, causing it to short out. Be careful about how you seal it, cause you may need to take it off again.
