I finally inked that 48

http://www.58vw.com/af/48preshade.gif

It looks like I'm going to shade in PS after I convert it to vector and lay down some lines in Illy.

I plan on applying some of the new stuff I've been learning.

Fingers crossed.

Hi Lemorris, that is looking sweet. I would like to see one w/ some Dayton spoke rims. :)

You may have shared in the past can't remember. Would you mind posting the commands used to convert an artwork into duel tone dots. Oh man I can't remember what you called it. Basically something about making an artwork w/ one color (black) into a bunch of dots for cheap printing on a t-shirt. I think I am going to try that route.

Thx Lemorris.

LOLOL Mike

Unfortunately this one stays stock.

Next up is a 69. I hope to get all the pencil work done tonight.

Then I can put the design together and move on to a full color VW shirt.

Al:

After you get your lineart in PS create a new layer and make your selections and shade on it.

Once you have the shading done right button click on that layer. Duplicate to new file (it's in the drop down list). In the new file convert from greyscale to bitmap. Select 45 degrees, 55 dpi, and elliptical should work fine.

After PS converts it to bitmap change it back to greyscale. Then drag it back into your original file.

Set the layer properties to multiply and as you drag the shading into place it will snap into the right spot.

Turn off the layer that has your original shading in it, and viola!!

Duplicate your file (file-duplicate), and then flatten it. (ctrl + E). Convert it to bitmap straight black and white. Save as a tiff file and take to the film house to print.

I know that seems like a lot but it's really not that bad.

If I get a chance next week I'll make another tute on it.
