cab break light

i have a 99" 1500 z71 and my and my back cab break light doesn't work right the red light doesn't come on any more when the car is just running. it come's on only when you hit the break. the two bulbs are good but the one for the running light doesn't come on anymore. Any ideas?

If I'm not mistaken, the bulbs in the 3rd brake light do not have running lights in them..they only light when the brake pedal is pressed.

that's what i'm thinking too, mine doesn't have a running light either

i have a 2000 z71 and 3rd brake light is just that a brake light not a running light

The cab mounted brake light is not a running light. Only works when brake pedal is depressed.
