Contemplating red/clears on my coupe....

Darren, are these the same tails as yours?

Anyway, what do you guys think? I need to do something to the car as this whole "swap" ordeal is getting drawn out :(

Actually, on a side note, that exhaust doesn't look too bad at all either, not too "in your face".

I personally like those clear 'lexus' style lights, they are not very 'original' because they stole it from lexus, but it like it. A few days ago I saw the 'newest' version this style, forgot the name of the brand and where I saw it, but I think someone else over here (or yourself) knows which brand I'm talking of.

Yeh, the Altezzas. Not my cup of tea, they're popular right now but I don't really like them myself and they're already "played out" in the US.

I like the red/white ones. They almost look like stock ones.

Red/clear is very clean. Mine are red on the top and clear at the bottom. I've seen that pic before. I think they are all clear and the bottom half has been painted candy apple red. It might be cheaper to do this.

If you are gonna go all clear and paint them let me know as someone on an 'Irish' forum can get all clears.

How much did you pay again? Quality is ok and from where? :silly:

I got them from James Walsh Kilkenny (http://www.jw-motorparts.com) and paid approx €250 for them. Quality is like stock, they fit perfect.

I like them very much! They´re looking like my stock Prelude lights except that the red is on top!:)

Btw, has anybody noticed that the rear wing is different from the OEM european rear wing, he has a third leg in the middle, while the original one is without.

I recently got a set of Lexus/Altezza lights for my car, now I know you don't like them but I think they look cool and I have never seen another coupe in Ireland with them!

Plus the fact that I got them for $110 incl. shipping :D

Reckon they could look good on your red Coupe but the clear lenses stand out too much against a black car IMO. I like the idea of them, but the clear always seems a bit much to me.

Actually I was surprised how well they looked when I fitted them ;)
(even though it was a bit of a nightmare standing on one leg! - but I couldn't wait)

Well the red on top is the same as mine but they just look different to mine. Hard to say what it is but mine seem more like stock than those, maybe better quality plastic? not sure. Can't go wrong with $56 though.

BTW After posting the earlier message I noticed ProCarParts have loads of red/clears on ebay and some of the bidding is lower than above. You shouldn't have a problem getting them at a good price :)

I quite like the idea of these on a black coupe. Dont spose anyone knows where I can buy them for the 5th gen civic coupe?

Well the 6Gen tails won't fit the 5Gen tails if that's what you're asking. They're not bad actually, a bit different, I might consider them...

I always thought these were COupé altezza's and they are very ugly:

Ok, the ones showed by Irish were for a 6th gen, i already thought that :)
SO the only possibility for G are the ones above. :)

I think the chirper stops working because it becomes old. The tweeter that makes the noise, gets coroded and stops working- I think. Mine worked fine and started to work on/off, then eventually stopped completley. As for the radio, I think your better off getting a brand new radio.
