Hey Guys,
I need the chassis codes for the civic from 99 onwards. I'm specifically looking for the hatchback and saloon models. I tried a search on AF but it doesn't seem to be working.
thanks
Darren

This is one for the Tech forum I think, can't help you I'm afraid. And yes, the search is down right now.

Just saw your post in the Exterior forum, did you tell them that your car is an EK Civic? I know your chassis code is EJ9 but the EJ chassis no.'s are normally the coupes, 5Gen and 6Gen Coupes are both EJ even though they are also EG and EK Civics respectively, if you catch my drift?
Anyhoo, try letting them know it's the EK Civic, could make a difference...

Ok thanks G! I kinda catch your drift :D Still a bit confused. Do you know if mine would be the EK1 or EK2. I know the dates in Japan would be different as the models would come out earlier than in Europe.

That I don't know. I'm not really up to speed on JDM stuff, but I reckon someone on Maxed-ie might know, they have a Honda forum there now too.

paste this link
http://www.honda.co.jp/HOT/ModelData/civic/index.html
into here (and change the language to translate from Jap - Eng)
http://world.altavista.com/sites/ie.../babelfish/trns
Then you can find your car, click on it, then click on "LINE UP" to find the spec that is closest to yours then click on "PRINCIPAL STATISTICS" in the bottom of the section and look for the "CAR TYPE" which will probably be EK3/4/5/6 something like that.
(Just incase you missed my post on maxed)

Thanks for the help. My car is an EK3/4/5. They don't have my engine for the JDM market. I was able to get the information I needed anyway.
