Too tight?

Recently my driver side front wheel began to come off which I believe is bad. When I got it home and pulled off the wheel I realized that the little round nut type thingies that hold the wheel bearing and rotor on had come off. I also deemed this a bad thing. I'm pretty sure I got everything on correctly (I looked at the passenger side wheel to compare and check my work) and when I started to drive it again it seemed to take more effort to accelerate so my question is this: Could I have tightened them back on too tightly? My muscles are rather huge and I've no doubt that my super human strength can apply the proper amount of tightening needed, but did I tighten so much so that my wheel is having a hard time turning?

try spinning the wheel as you're adjusting the wheel bearing nut. compare it to the passenger side

I thought I might of tried that, but I probably didn't. If I did over tighten is there anything bad that will come of it?

You will be buying new wheel bearings if you drive with them too tight, but I can't imagine you being able to overtighten them so much that you would feel it while driving. Check to make sure one of your brake pads isn't dislodged. Also, the truck should pull in the direction of the "tight" wheel if there is a problem.

It doesn't seem to pull to any side, atleast not noticeably. When I brake hard though (fast yellow lights) it seems like it might pull to the right....

You should double check your work in any case.
