Gran Turismo 3 is of the Devill!!!

All I have to say is Gran Turismo 3 A-spec is evil, I got it last week and it has absorbed all my free time sence. I now have 40 cars, around 5 million dollars, and very big dark circles under my eyes. The problem is that my Game Completion percentage is only like 33.3. So I guess I've got a ways to go. Still haven't gotten my S Licence, thats gonna be hard. Oh, on that note, has any one gotten all Golds in the licence tests?
Any way, a few other games have sucked me in like this. Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy X, Diablo II.

I still have not passed GT2 100% so I am staying away from GT3. :D

The highest you can get in GT2 is 98%. The last 2% were from a drag racing section that they took out at the last second and didn't recalibrate the percentages. I got up to 95% and gave up. :silly2:

Amen brutha. I played non stop for three weeks and finally beat it. Now, all I gotta do is all the bonus missions.

Im about 86% of the way though GT3, and about 27% of the way through GTA3.

THEY ALL FING ROCK!

well when i used to actually play my 64, i would play Goldeneye a whole lot. i just wanna see sometime try and beat me in multi in that game. i'll tear up anyone. when perfect dark came out, that was awesome. i played that non-stop. once i beat i played it less and less. its an awesome game, school just got more time-consuming, and i had better things i could do.

Well the makers of Golden eye and perfect dark have jumped ship, and ae now making PS2 games. (they started another company)
They made Timesplitters, but had to rush it to make the PS2 release date. As a result its good, but not quite as good as perfect dark. but it still has a similar feel.

They are however about to release timesplitters 2 which has been fully developed with worries about rushing to meet deadlines. They have admitted that the first game wasnt as good as it should have been, and so have sworn that TS2 will be better then even Perfect dark.
From looking at the screenshots on www.ign.com it appears they are right, espiacaly if they, and im sure they will, build upon the awsome playablity of perfect dark.

That is not totally correct. Maybe on some versions in certain areas of the world but I have completed GT2 and did it in 6 weeks :)

Hahahah I actually wore a perfect imprint of my ass in the foot cusion from GT2. Countless late nights then up early at 3:30am to get a few more races in before work. Totally hopless.

When GT2 was new, I went through and got up to 54 gold out of 60, but my game got erased. :mad: :cry:

I just recently started a new memory card from scratch. "0" losses and will keep it that way. I want to have a perfect card. 100% finished and golds in all the lic. I have done a few of the manufactures cup races and finished of the B lic and working on the A lic. Not at it full on this time around though.

Oops. I meant to say that the 98% was only for the US version. :o

Twist if you can get your ps1 chipped to accept a PAL version of GT2, you can pick that up cheap off the net from this region. I believe it would be like $13.00 USD. That way you can shock your friends and finish it. Also I believe we have a slightly different selection of cars. I know the Japanese version is different from the Australaisn version that we get down here in New Zealand.

you know what other game is kinda good....Tony Hawk 3. its kinda unstoppable also at times....(did that make sense?)....also, Ace Combat 4...but its toooo hard..its too complicated in that its kinda confusing for the actual game play..but i think when i get this down..(3 weeks)..ill be good to go

A quick update, B and A lic all done in golds and most of the International C. 79% of the game done still no losses :)

Man, I'd be better off tokin' on the Y-bong than to get back into that darned GT2!!! Last time I checked, I was at 70+% complete, with almost 2/3 of the IB license done. Don't even ask me what cars I have!!!:eek:

I just played GT2 for the first time in months today

Completed 2 more endurance races.

Now im around 92% complete, ive only got one more endurance and alot of the Car specific races to go.

Ive got 5 gold, 26 silver and 28 bronze or something like that.

Id love to get all gold in IA so I could get the FTO LM edition, best car in GT1 but ill never get there

One of the guys renting from me has GT3. He also has GT1 and GT2. We have both found out and agree that GT3 is much harder. The handling and controls are different as you can control the turning, braking, and accelerating much more refined than the earlier games.

I could list my car in the garages I have but for the highlighted ones.

im just playing man

call me an idiot, but when i borrowed my friend's PS2 i rented GT3-A:Spec. i started a new game. they gave me about 20K dollars, and there were only 2 cars i could buy. a PT Cruiser and a miata. i bought the PT cuz i didnt i could buy the miata. i got some money to mod the PT, and eventually to buy a new car. i got a POS something 'Sprinter' i think. i won a RX-7 also, but by the time i had that, my friend had to get his PS2 back. now, how the crap can you start out with a good car??? it took me a long time to earn enough money to buy new cars, and it would have taken days to earn enough to win enough to buy something competitive.

Actually Sicklude I am or was sick! For the better part of 1 week straight all I did was race Redrock in the GT-champs which you win $50,000 for the race and a speed12 which you can sell for $500,000. That is how I got all my money hehehehe.

There must be somthing I don't know about GT3 Razor 'cause I don't have a clue what you mean when you say a car only pops up once every 400 days... Do the ones that you usualy can't buy randomly become avalible once every so often?

Well myself, Darkness, and now GSR32 are in the process of setting up a GT2 Tournament here. I have been speaking to some of out car club sponsors about putting up a Trophy for each skill level. We are going to run a full series consisting of 2-3 multi lap races on a set day. You will earn points and the format will be simular to that of the JGTC format in Japan. There could be up to 15 race days/nights.

Things talked about are picking a single car and run that for the season.

Manditory pitlane entrance

Penalties for cutting corners or using walls.

Once we have out first meeting we will iron out all the rules and regs and go from there. Myself and another will be doing a website with a table layed out with the driver, points erned, standings, and highlights of each race and overall race leaderboard.
