HELP PLEASE! I am having problems with my 2001 TA. The battery drains when the car is off. Something is pulling about 4 amps. This problem also causes problems starting even when the battery is charged. I tried to start the car battery was at 12.3V the light and everything else works, I turn the key and nothing. I took it to the dealer and they could not find the problem. I don't know if they took the time to find the problem and gave up. Its been in the shop four times.

What kind of aftermarket things do you have hooked up???
Also check to see what is using the power, look at guages, fan, motors stuck (rear hatch and lights). Check every single light. Its also possible that there might be a short, so check your fuses cuz it might help you find the problem.
If you have an aftermarket radio check it too.
By aftermarket I mean anything thats not stock, sorry if i did not use the term right.
Also get yourself a good longlasting battery, K!
I think that most firebirds have horrible batteries, and upgrading them to something powerful is the way to go if you need some decent power for your stereo. Also you want to have your stereo on when the car is not, when u r on a date, and stock batteries will drain in a sec.
Good luck.
