steering vibration over 110km/h

Would anybody think that having bad rotors can cause steering vibration during driving along.

my problem is that the wheels are balanced but I still get vibration in steering over 110.

Thank you,

They're ballanced, but are they aligned? And do you have the same tire pressure left side and right side?

Probably not rotors, because this is happening while you are driving, not stopping.

thanks for reply,
yep alignment and tire pressure are checked.

its gotta be either the wheels aren't balanced or not aligned properly...

Or there could be something in the wheels themselves that causes the vibration. I know last winter my car did the exact same thing at highway speeds when snow was caught in the wheels. Pull your wheels off and have a look, there may be something caught in there.

just bought an 05' maxima and my car vibrates very badly at high speeds and the longer I drive the the lower the speed at which the virbrating occurs. Initially, the virbrating is at 90mph then after a couple of hours the virbrating occurs at about 70-75mph, mostly when accelerating to those speeds. When I let go of the throttle the car will continue to vibrate until the car decreases about 10-15mph, then stops. The car was high speed balanced and re-alligned, but did not help. The dealer says they can't help me!! that's bullshit. Any ideas are warmly accepted.
thanks

I have 220K on a 96 Max. there have been a few situations when I balanced and rotated and aligned and it still Vibrated. 2 times it was because of bad wear on the tires.. after rotating it went away after a few thousand miles. The other time it was a bent rim.. and one other time one of the strust in the front were bad.

"just bought an 05' maxima"
- new car, not worn parts. Factory installation problems maybe.
- A tyre can be broken inside (not visible). One should be able to define the malfuntioning tire. If not, you can work yourself: use spare tire and swap one by one in all four corners and test.

"the longer I drive the the lower the speed at which the virbrating occurs. "
- Things seem to warm up: What could be warming? Engine, transmission, Tyres, shock absorbers. Thats about it...

"car will continue to vibrate until the car decreases about 10-15mph, then stops. "
- This does not sound like tyres or shocks. Transmission?

Q. What is the vibration is like? Rear-Front-Allover? Any Sounds? Steering wheel? Teeth rattling...

Call Nissan Service dpt, this should not really be your problem.
