2001 Dodge Stratus Moaning

Hi All -

Anyone know what would cause a 2001 Dodge Stratus SE four door to moan? It only does it while driving and coming up to a stop sign or light. Every once-in-awhile, the car will moan that sounds like it is comign form the front wheels or engine.

The dealers we have brought it to can only help if they can duplicate the problem. It doesn't happen all the time, but it sounds like a moan and lasts for about 1-2 seconds.

You might check your engine mounts. Mine groaned/whined. I thought it was a shock or something, but I noticed the engine was torquing funny under acceleration--immediately when I would engage the clutch. Now, I have a 01 R/T, but it could still apply.
