i recently changed the hg and now the car wont start.
the timing is right but spark plugs wont spark, but the coils
get electricty.
i was wondering since i removed and reinstalled the cam postion
sensor could that be off, or is it the igniter assist thats gone out.
if i could get a solution it would be great.

i forgot to connect a ground and now it will spark, but the starter will crank and stop suddenly. i've tested it and it works fine i've also checked the ignition switch also. plus the wires connected to the starter are tight if anyone knows whats wrong it would be a big help

When you heat the engine up then you cant start the car again. That would be the starter, the heat does something to it inside.Hope this helps.

ok another problem has occured. after getting the car to work for about a week it just stops. ill crank it over and nothing unless i floor the gas pedalthen it will start up and die instantly. ive pulled the codes it gave me a 22 and 51 that is coolant temp signal and ac switch or nuetral start switch.it cant be the nuetral start switch because ive checked that and its fine. if anyone could help that would be great because i love this car and i dont want to get rid of it when im so close to drive it.

No idle signal to the ECU on startup would do that, which is the code 51. Is there any way you can swap the ECU out with another to test? 51 is also the TPS, have you tried testing it with an ohm meter to make sure it's good?

If your starter works when you push the clutch pedal down and doesn't when it's up then the neutral switch is good. You should probably get another coolant sensor while your out just to fix that problem, any from a junk yard mkiii would be fine I imadgine since they don't go bad often.
