i bought a delta alarm about 4 years ago for my car for 150 but it was a more typical simple system without the lcd and the remote start, cost me 150 installed. So far no problems whatsoever with the alarm, so i think Delta is pretty good. Good deal if you get it installed right?

I installed that unit a few months ago for a customer . The door locks on the unit where screwy and didnt work. I was so pissed off. I had the unit completely hooked up when I realized the door locks where goofed up. I believe that remote plays the Ice cream truck song when the alarm is triggered.

I had issues with a customer's unit too but can't remember what it was off hand. Just remember that you get what you pay for.

In my opinion they are all garbage. I install many different units and I refuse to install the cheap ones. I have alot of problems with the cheap units goofing up. I waste time and money installing the crap for close to nothing$$. This is the brand that I have in my ride. Its a less expensive good quality unit with lots of good options. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=48611&item=5714770612&rd=1 . I install these Autopage units for $499 at my shop. I cant believe how cheap they are on ebay. I have never had a problem with these.

these arent necessarily cheap quality.....theyre from a wholesaler, whom ive bought from before, with excellent results

im considering this one on ebay....damn good deal.....only problem is, its a remote start, and i have a standard....do you think its still worth it?

Still worth it. The remote start feature can be left out of the installation. Or depending on your area they may legally be able to hook it up safely on your manual trans

it says compatible with 2003 vehicles....that just means it can go on a 2003 as well as older, correct?.........also, im planning on doing the install myself, because the only installer in my town will rip youre wallet a new asshole, and they suck

yes it will work on any year of vehicle. I am an installer so if you need any help let me know. Just send me the year/make/model of your ride and the unit/model that you purchased. Let me know if you need a wiring diagram for you ride.

I use to sell Audiovox up until about a year ago. I started to have way too many problems with the harness burning at the connector that goes into the alarm brain. Audiovox was a pain in the butt to warranty stuff so I dropped them.

I give it a 6 since you wont be hooking up the remote start feature. None of it is hard. Just takes time with the advanced units

TheOutsider
