Don't know if anyone has seen this before, but it looks pretty sweet. I would assume it would work all the same for any car.

Do It Yourself Gauges (http://www3.sympatico.ca/rickdupuis/Pictures/SUNSET/Gauges/how_to_create_custom_gauges.htm)

Anyone tried this, or heard of anything like this before?

Seen it done that way, heard its pretty easy once you get the picture to print the right size. The vinyl shop where I live will do the same thing for about $20, do any back ground you want, even change your number fonts and such if you want, and then stick it to your existing gauge face, if you had the money I would suggest doing that insted of trying to print your own.

that's what i did with my gauges. i just took them out, marked where my needles are supposed to be, and popped off my needles with two flathead screw drivers. then i just scanned them in and photoshopped my own gauges.
check them out.

But it's a tricky thing to do cause if the camera or gauge cover moves and you didn't know it happen, then pretty much most of your MPH driving wouldn't be accurate.

there's like this little motor that makes the needles move for ur gauges. and the little metal pin that stayed with ur needles is actually part of the motor...that's the thing that rotates. to get the needles off without breaking the pin, you gotta take them off really slowly...atleast that's what my friend told me to do cus he broke his by popping the needles off too fast. his advice worked tho.

do you remember what resolution you printed them at?? sure would make it a lot easier without printing hundreds to try to size them just right :P.... ig uess i could just take mine apart and measure it... but im too lazy.... :P

i printed mine from the photoshop file of these gauges that i had. when i converted it to jpeg i checked to see that the size was the same and all. so... i'm almost positive that they'll print out the right size no matter what. if something happens that it didnt work, i can always post the photoshop files, but they're 10 megs a picture.
