Okay I feel horrible asking this question...but I just have to do it. Friends have told me how my T-bird looks like a "Mexican's" car. Now that isn't a bad thing, but not my style. I think this is because the "friends" are young and all (well a lot of them) drive 4L Hondas and can't appreciate some classic styling. Now the front is lowered and it obviously is a larger car than all the little Hondas and BMW ‘s that a "popular" these days. But the lowering effect is supposed to make it look like a 60's sports car. You know the wedge look. I don't know all the older generation seem to love it, so let me know what you think. And if you could leave your age, somewhere.

did you use a civic tube?
These Avenger Series from American Racing I think look great on the car without pulling to much away from the look of the car as a whole. For anybody that puts big chrome 20'' spinners on a T-Bird you should really be looking to invest in a Escalade and keep those gaudy rims off of a classic looking car.
:iagree:

thunderbird muscle - Where did you get that hood, from what manufacturer, I'm looking for some nice body mods myself, and I like that hood. Also is it fiberglass or metal? I have to take some shots of my car now, just to put up. It's nothing special yet, but i'm not done.

Salsa should do the trick. Just kidding. If you can find it, use Espree Wheel Magic. I've been using it since I was a kid cleaning my dad's wheels on his '86 TBird - before it became mine.

Nice Mike. That Wheel Magic won't polish it though it will only clean it right?

Yeah, I'm sorry - just reread your post. Yeah, it's just for washing, but it does a hell of a job of keeping the crap off your rims. As for the polish, sorry, I don't know what to tell you.
When you do find a good one, tho, be sure to let us know. Thanks.

Okay, well this spring I had a ton of shit from the salt and what not on all the rims. So I used a cleaning compound that I thought, at the time, was supposed to clean and polish. But it only cleaned all the grime and tarnish off them, though they did look really good afterwards, they still weren't "polished" like I want. However I know that there is a polishing compound from the same brand, and I have been told to use the cleaner and then use the polishing compound, but I haven’t gotten around to that.

They are telling you that because this car is popular with the Hispanic group. They are true muscle, but fairly inexpensive to aquire one. Every time I have seen a modded out or cared for TBird, it is usually a mexican or an old white hair dude

R I G H T...Well seeing as how most of the people that I know that drive a thunderbird don't fit either of that criteria, I don't think that is the case. Also I don't think you have a lot of room to talk if you have an Acura, in terms of cost. I wasn't interested in the rest of the Thunderbird owner population, all I wanted to know, truthfully, is if mine looked "ethnic or not".
And to say that all Thunderbird owners are either Hispanic or old is incredibly stereotypical. That's like saying that all the owners of Acura's are Asian, because most of the "modded out" import cars are driven by Asians. Which is totally false.
So let’s try to be a little more sensitive here Miss Acura. Especially on a Thunderbird fanatic Forum.

I have noticed alot of older people driving T-birds.. Even know of a true to life pimp who drives a maroon cougar...... Anyways. Stereotypes don't mean we are stereotypical. That is just an easy way to group a certain group of people. It would be like me saying that all black people are drug addicts. Anyways. As far as the rims thing goes, I use Eagle One A2Z wheel cleaner. Gives them a nice shine. But read the directions to make sure it won't damage your rims.

Well sorry i guess. It just seemed like that is deifnatly not true. But I suppose everybody has the right to their own opion.
And im not looking for a wheel cleaner, but some type of a polishing compound. So basically anything that you spray on isn't what I'm looking for. Thanks for the help.
