DOes anyone know when the Audi A2 and A3 or the BMW 1 and 2 Series or the Mercedes A and B Class are coming to the US?

Really don't know if Audi are bringing their A3 to the US, although recently launched Sportback wagon would appeal to the US. The BMW 1-Series may well be coming to the US, as it would broaden BMW's appeal over the atlantic dramatically. Mercedes currently has no plans to bring the A-Class to the US. Although the B-Class, which will be released in 2005 may well be.

However, interestingly enough, DaimlerChrysler is investigating the potential of the Smart Coupe/Roadster in the U.S.

83bhp, 1700lbs, MR, should be fun.

The Dodge Slingshot is based on the Smart Roadster and uses the same engine and should be hell of a lot cheaper than its German sister car. They also share the same cabin and pretty much everything except the Smart's funkier styling.
