I am have problems with my ignition switch. I move the key backwards and nothing happens. Before I could listen to the radio and work the windows now nothing. I went to a locksmith and he told me it would cost me $500 to fix. Please help with any solution. By the way the switch works fine in all other position just the one turning towards the back doesn't work.

Replace the easy part first which is the ignition switch located above the steering column, part is less than $20. Your locksmith might be thinking about the keyswitch which can also be around $20, but requires removing the steering wheel, etc.
