2001 Acura 3.2TL Erratic RPM Problem

Hi there, I just purchased a 2001 Acura 3.2TL the car has 81K Miles. Seems to be in good condition but she has a problem. After the car is left on for 5 minutes The RPM's start jumping up and down between 1000 to 2000. The check engine is also ON.

I would greatly appreciate if any one with info on this matter can help... thanks

most likely your EGR....i work with acura and we have that all the time. Take it to the dealership and have them check it out.

These 3.2 have small egr ports they become clogged easily. The dealer sells a cleaner to run through the air intake & egr ports after egr is removed.
