My 02 Suburban 1500 LT (48,000 miles) has a loud knock when turning the opposite direction from the previous turn. I.E. after having completed a right turn, it knocks loudly when my next turn is to the left and vice versa. Sounds like it's in the front suspension but I can't be sure. Had a dealership look at it while it was under warranty, they replaced a couple bushings and couldn't find any other problems. Problem was sporatic at this point but this was late in the year so temps were getting colder and the problem seems to be worst when temps are above 80 deg F. Any ideas?

check the tie-rod ends where they thread into the system. Make sure properly greased and threaded.
Check the stearing shaft and box too
these are few suggestions

Also check the front stabilizer bar. I have had the bushing come out or the screw that holds the clamp that holds the bushing that goes around the stabilizer come out.

Thanks for the replies. I will look at both this weekend and let you know what happens.
