hi, i have a 2001 honda accord ex and the brakes squeel allll the time. and its done it for about a month now. i pulled the pads off adn they dont look that bad except one of the rears. so i cleaned it all up adn it stopped for about a day. everytime i turn or stop very lightly or just go down the road it squeels and everything like the brakes are grinding and sometimes it jerks the wheel. i am goin to replace th pads today and i hope that helps but i dont know if it will. any advice? thanks alot

don't forget to use anti-squeak compound(or spray) and take off shims of old brake pads and put them on new ones.
shims only on front pads, rear ones have no shims.

You need to look for reason why one of rear brake pads worn out more then other one.

One of things you need to look at is pins. Those pins allow caliper to slide, and if caliper doesn’t slide freely it will cause unequal pads wear. Check for cracks and holes in rubber boots, and if pins are rusted you may need to replace them

I had the exact same problem, and was banging my head against the wall trying to figure it out. It wasnt until a friend and i stumbled upon the cause/solution by accident that i realized what was happening. The front brake pads sit on little metal holders that in turn fit into the caliper mounting slots. try taking these out and coating them with anti-sieze compound. I did this and i have no more squeaking, or other noises when i put my brakes on. I also used the spray compound on the metal shims as suggested earlier, that didnt fix it for me though, until i went back and tried the anti-sieze. Its still a good idea all around though.
