Header and Exhaust

Hey guys,

I was thinking about getting a header and exhaust for my 03 eclipse gs. The header i was looking at is a kamikaze and the exhaust is magnaflow. I was wondering if the exhaust and header have to be the same name bran in order to fit. I wouldnt think it would. Does anybody recommend a different header & exhaust package that would improve my car and be at a resonable price?. thanks

That exhaust package is probably the best you are going to get. Excellent price and good gains.

however, I also suggest that you get an air/fuel controller to lean your car out to get maximum gains. With those items, you are going to throw a code. Put the car on the dyno, tune it, and you will get rid of the code.

Power wise, you can expect to be in the 135whp/145wtq range, if you have an intake as well.

By a air/fuel controller, do you mean the gauge or is it something else. I already have the gauge in which you helped me to hook up by telling me which wire to connect to. Yes I have a Injen CAI. For dyno and tuning the car, could I take it to a mr. tire or somewhere like that. Theres really not a dyno shop around where I live? thanks

No, not the gauge. I mean like the GReddy E-manage, SAFC II, or HKS SAFR II. The piggyback computers which alter the signal for injectors and how much fuel should be injected.

Mr. Tire does not have a dyno. Go to google and type in your state and "dyno", for example: "Ohio Dynos"

does anyone know if obx headers any good?

ripp mods has a kit that comes with headers and hi-flow cat.
Magnaflow exhaust systems sound nice

I heard that a light shouldnt come on as long as you have a cat in your exhaust. I'm taking that to be a cat-back exhaust correct?
