Auto tranny reliability

Ive done a few searches and Never really got much of an answer..
How reliable is the auto tranny in my 90t? The cars got 205,000kms on it so the tranny is gettin tired.. It still shifts hard and precise, the fluid is still red and doesnt smell burnt.. But the cars been stock all its life and now im turnin up the boost.. 13psi is my goal and I plan on keeping it there...I dont drive the car real hard either.. Just like to get on her once and a while
I was thinkin about getting a t-tech fluid flush with new Synthetic tranny fluid and upgrading the tranny cooler.. This will definatly help, but will it be enough?? I dont want to get the trans rebuilt.. The car is already a money pit..
Any suggestions, tips?
