okay, my clutch line went out in front of a air thingy at a gas station so my clutch wouldn't work, so i couldn't drive. so i put my car on a jack to look for a leak in the lines, then this lady pulls up (i have my hood and hatch open), and i thought she wanted to help. so i walk up to her window and i say i don't need any help but thanks for wanting to help. then she says "no, i need to air up my tire". i'm just like, what a bitch. so she pulls about 2" away from my bumper to put air in her tire. i am just thinking the whole time what a bitch. it just pissed me off sooo bad. oh, one more thing, she complains that she has to pay $.25 for air when i am sitting here with a car that won't drive. people these days.

Shame on you for even thinking that a woman is capable/desires to help a man and his car!

If you would have had a more sexist mind, this would have never occured :lol2:

You should have asked her to help you push your broken car out of the way so you could accomodate her need to get better access to the air pump !!!!!!

BITCH !!!

am i the only guy here that doesn't think she is a bitch? there are way to many people in the world to worry about everyone elses bullshit. most people wait for the offer before they say "it's ok i got it".

you would think that most people would have the sense of caring that somebody is broken down. if i saw somebody that is broken down in a gas station, i would see if they need help. i guess this world IS going all to hell.

Why did you even think for a second that a woman would even be capable of hrlping you. No ofence to the ladies out there, but MOST women don't have the ability to work on cars. Btw, did ya ever get that clutch line fixed.

Most women don't even have the ability to drive safely, much less work on a car.

Two things:
1. Be grateful she didn't actually knock your car off the jack.
2. Be amazed she could add air to a tire. I can't even get my wife to do that.

Do you actually think a woman would pull up offering help for your manual-tranny car?

hahahha^^ that's funny shit

yeah, most snobby women don't give a shit about someone broken down. they are just trying to get to their hair salon appointment on time.
if it had been me, I would have at least asked if you needed to use the phone or something. granted, I most likely wouldn't be able to help you fix the problem, but still....
And especially because you drive a Z, I would have stopped and pulled over if I was just driving by to see if you need help. Z folks stick together!

Hmm.....maybe she was just on her way home from a long day at work and her tire made her late for picking one kid up at the sitters and another up at soccer practice. And maybe she griped about the cost of the air because her husband took the $20 bill out of her purse without telling her and left her nearly cashless. And maybe she was thinking about what she was going to fix her family for dinner and how she was going to fit in helping kids with homework while doing the dishes and laundry and vacuuming the living room without interrupting her husband's football game on TV.

Just a thought =)

when I was in High school I borrowed my Dads Crown Vic to go to the gym after school, upon coming out of the gym parking lot my rear left tire was rapidly going flat, I pulled into a local sub shop to get my car off the main road to change the tire, I was in a parking spot, jacked up the car, removed the flat tire, after removing the spare from the trunk before i could put it on, an old lady in a Lincoln pulls in and taps the rear corner of my dads car. just enough to push the car over pinning the bumper jack underneath... (meanwhile its starting to rain..) the car is sitting on the rear drum. The lady comes out of her car and tells me she will call AAA, I tell her theres no need I just need to borrow her Jack in her trunk... she very nicely let me use her jack I was able to lift the car enough to pull my jack out and put on the spare. She then wanted to give me money to get my tire fixed, It goes to show you the world hasn't gone to hell yet. :2cents:

OK...I posted the above reply before I had really thought about it very much, and now I need to play the devil's advocate.

Here we have two people at a gas station both with their own vehicle problems. One (you're right, guys) probably doesn't know how to help the other with his problem. But the other is most likely capable of helping her with hers. Did he offer? No...he was too busy fuming over the fact that SHE didn't offer to help HIM. And additionally, he's parked in her way undoubtedly causing her task to be a bit harder than it might otherwise have been.

To be fair, Freak, I think you were right when you said "you would think that most people would have the sense of caring that somebody is broken down. if i saw somebody that is broken down in a gas station, i would see if they need help." And if it had been me then yeah...I would most certainly have offered to make a phonecall for you, or maybe--if I knew you or if you seemed 'harmless enough'--then I probably would have even offered you a ride somewhere. (In fact, I've done that more than once before.) But I agree with driftu that "most people wait for the offer before they say 'it's ok i got it'."

By the way, MagicRat: "2. Be amazed she could add air to a tire. I can't even get my wife to do that." ....I can't get my husband to wash dishes, laundry, or scrub the toilet. ;)

I know I'm new here and I don't want to piss anyone off already, but it didn't seem to me that the woman was trying to be a bitch. She had her own problem to deal with and wasn't immediately concerned with Freak's. Since he was actively working on it, and he told her he didn't need help before she had a chance to offer, then she might have assumed that he had it under control and didn't need help.
