what kind of vtec engine are you referring to? there are dozens of vtec engines, but in my opinion i wouldnt even bother swapping an engine into an accord, theyre simply too heavy. the only engine you should consider is the h22a prelude dohc vtec engine. if you get the jdm version, it comes with 220 hp stock.

I believe this forum is for MUSCLE cars not Riceburners.

yeah well my "riceburner" would walk all over your ledsled. i remember a time when i used to think musclecars were the best, until i realized that there are plenty of 4 cylinders made today that will blow the doors off of your dinosaur cars. your carburated cars are obsolete today, since technology determines how fast a car is, not who can put the biggest carburator on the biggest engine.

god, my friends at ricecop.com would have a field day with all the riceisms in this post...

it's funny how many new "technologically advanced" "racecars" can and do lose to outdated dinocars all the time.

sure you can get a 4 banger to outperform a v8 but why bother? with all the money you spend on that project you can get a v8 to do far better for far less green.

and there's a lot more than technology that determines power or speed. look at all the nascars (not a big fan but whatever) that use pushrodded engines and make ridiculous power and have equally ridiculous top speeds...tell me your little four banger could even keep up. technology schmechnology. it's advanced the industry obviously but you can't base an arguement of this magnitude solely on that.

also, before you tell someone that your car can "walk all over" theirs, it may be good to find out what they're packin'. don't wanna bring a knife to a gun fight!

thanks

Ahhh, words of beauty. I do agree with all the muscle car guys here, much more power for far less cash. But this post is revived from the dead so i wont go into great detail how muscle is far better then rice.

well i like v8's and all motors including the rotary, but nascar!!! look at indy-3.5liters, nascar cant hold a candle!!600-800hp with a v6 or a 80cubic inch rotary.but if there's money theres a way right

and dont forget about the 1500whp supra-yes it gets the power to the ground. but i like my v8 conversion too!!
