help with painting technique

i was just wondering how i could achieve this kind of weathered look?

airbrush? (btw i dont have an airbrush) blackwash? charcoal?

also, how would u go about creating a black outline around the headlights like this? im thinking maybe i could just mask it off and paint the sides? is there an easier way perhaps?

well if you would read the wonderfull Thread of Kunta (this is his car btw) you would know it's blackwash. Some asked how to do blackwash last week so try a search

as for the light, just use a black marker and use it on the side of the clear part, It will do the trick

thanks for the reply and search. and yes i DID search, but of course i havent been around so i wouldnt know who kunta is nor would i know what technique he used. i didnt ask how to do blackwash, i just wanted to know what technique was used. as for the headlights, thanks for the tip, i'll try that out :)
