Closest Run Of My Life!!!!!

Me and this guy and this integra were supposed to run for a looong time so someone tried to set it up but when the time came he chickened out and was like "no, i'm not running but y not run him" and pointed to one of his mans accords. i look over and see a 92 accord sitting there dropped on the factory steelies or whatever...but still even so i learned never sleep on anyone!!! i'm like what is he running he goes and pops the hood and see a sing cam (with 2.2 written on it)and hes like a 93 ex wit i/h/e thats it i dotn see nitrous lines so im real skeptic, and i say to him B.S. aint no one gonna run no 93 ex unless they got something done to it (cause the less you see it the more power it makes exception: turbo), but before we could argue a little more cops came...

Part I: all 15 of the guys that drove that night all got on the highway and we all start selecting against one another...so eventually i drop to 3rd and i see the accord run up on me and press my bumper off...and then hes running and he's giving almost everyone on the highway problems, so we get off... i jump out the car and tell him hes running something and all my boys are like yo just run him of the line...i'm like no he just raped my tailpipe on the highway...meanwhile hes like yo lets run on the highway from second gear 4000 rpms, and i'm like wait he's scared to run off the line, so i eventually call him out and after five minutes of going back and forth, he agrees!

Part II: we go to the spot and i rip the tires loose trying to get any advantage i can, then my boy stages us up and drops the hands...we launch and he gets me by about a bumper in first then we hit second and he pulls but close to half a fender and he throws his hazards on, we're still in it and by the end of second we was neck and neck we hit third and i pull by a bumber (he turned his hazards right off, I heard from spectators) and we're approaching the finish line and i hear him go into forth, im still in third and i get him by a fender at the line...never has a race been so close in my life, especially with an accord...come to find out though he had a f22b1 (145hp with 147 lbs torque, wow!) and the only reason that i won was because my tranny gears were longer!!! moral of this story, sleep on no one and nothing!

nothin better than a close run!!
my closest run was about 6-8weeks ago at the track i just hooked up my spray and my first race was against a new 2004 wrx sti. i thought i had no chance. when the light turned green we both launched and he gained a good car on me i thought it was over from the beggining and i started gaing on him around the 1/8 mile and we were dead even at about 1000'ft. i couldnt tell who won tell i got my slip.
i ran a 13.57@100 w/1.94 60'
and he ran 13.64@96 w/1.77 60'
i was extremely stoked!
i thought i wsa the shit tell the very next race when i got killed by a powerstroke deisel. theres alot of fast ones at my track its starting to get pretty big.

i know what you mean...when u run something that u think is faster and they get in front you think "shit, it's done" but when you start gaining back and your confidence goes up its pure adrenaline!!! (thats when u do things better like shift better and press down on the gas even hard, even though it wont do anything)
