Why wont anyone sell me their car?! Every day I look on DSMTrader, DSMTuners, Craiglist, ebay, and autotrader. Its been like a year! I want my car!!!

Here's what im looking for for no reason:
97-99 eclipse GSX
silver
manual
under 80k
good condition (everything)
few mods
< $11,000
around washington state

Is this too specific? Anyone know any other places I should be looking?
Has anyone traveled really far to get a car? How was it?

I will sell you my car. It's a '98. But it's a GS-T. And it's burgundy. It does have the 5 spd. and only 46k.

So how about traveling far for a car. Like a couple states away. Anyonne had any experiences? Is this a dumb idea? Should I just settle for a GS-T? What do you guys think?

What color is the TSi? Texas is probobly to far though.
Anyone know any other places i should be looking for my car? I look on the ones above and sometimes Carsdirect, NWclassifieds, and yahoo autos but none of these ever have anything.

I drove 4 hours to Atlanta, Georgia to pick up my GSX, but that's nothing like a drive from Washington to Texas :) A little tip: try searching for Eagle Talon TSI/TSI AWD because that's almost the exact same thing as a GST/GSX except for a few exterior details. I wouldn't settle for a gst or regular tsi if you really want an awd. I almost did that when I was looking for one, but I'm glad I decided to keep looking! :) Good luck!

its original black paint. has some oxidation but still looks good when polished :) i got quite a few pictures of it if you are interested in it

try www.dsmtrader.com and www.autotrader.com . they usually have a decent deal or two every now and then

I know one thing for sure, finding an Eclipse GS-X is almost impossible w/ that price range, i tried myself and everything either has too many miles, too bad of a color, automatic, or cost 14-18k dollars, i've seen 99 GSX's go for more than they should be worth GS-Ts are much easier to find, they cost less, given a proper launch you can get it off the line as quick as a GS-X that wants to save his drivetrain, my friend flipped his and sold it for 500, talk about a fixer-upper

Actually, I only paid $5500 for my 95 GSX in excellent condition with 125,000 miles on it. It's in impecible condition inside and out, and it drives awesome. All the maintenance had been just recently done (timing belt, clutch, water pump, etc) and it had a clean carfax with only 2 other owners. Paint was immaculate as well, no fading at all :) Now I think I picked up a great deal, and I consider myself a little lucky, but I know there are many other ones out there going for just as little (or even cheaper). Just keep looking!

I took it to a dealer here in town and was offered $10.5 as a trade-in. I would like to see $12,000. I have owned it since new. It's never seen snow and always garaged. I'm in Mich., though, so it would be guite a long hike for a car.
