well my 240sx is gone. someone ran a red light and totaled my front end. another 240 gone :mad: sorry fellas, i wish it didnt go out like this. i suppose everything happens for a reason, cant wait to see the reason for this. later guys, ill probably post for a little longer here, but after i get a new car ill be gone :sadwavey:

ill also be selling an apexi n1 single catback exhaust system, short ram intake, and a front strut bar. ill post up a thread with pics when im ready to sell. is that ok?

how would they go about doing this? kelly blue book for my car is 3,125. i am hoping they will give me at least 3000 back so i can buy a new car. did u get ripped off?

Blue book value and retail value are not the same, Blue book on my car was $1900, I got a third party insurance company to settle for $4761, and my car was stock with the exception of the CD player and wheels.

Was fault determined? you said he ran a light, if thats true then the burden is on his shoulders, they need to put you in a new car. And that's going to cost a LOT more than $3000

The cheapest one up there is 3500, and it's probably a piece of junk. Your car is worth WAY more than $3000, and as I said earlyer, you are entitled to what it would cost to replace your car. According to this you would be foolish to settle for less than ~5000, and your 240 is probably worth more than that Unless it was a peice of junk. =(

Remember, they will try to trick you, I've never seen them NOT try. They will tell you all you can get is the blue book value, if they say that tell them that they need to put you in a new car, they need to FIND a car, they need to BUY the car, they need to REGISTER the car, and then they need to transfer it to you.

If you want another 240 have them do that, AND DO NOT SEND THEM ADDS FOR CARS, tell them to send you adds for cars, then call the owners up and find out if its the right car for you, if it's junky beat up or too many miles, or an auto/stick, what ever you didn't have, tell them that the car is not acceptable.

You damn well better fight them, because if you cash your self out for way less than the car is worth, you set presidence for future cases. By that I mean you will actualy REDUCE the value of EVERY 240sx on the market. I don't want to find out that you've lowered the value of my car by wussing out, so good luck and fight hard. ^^

I have never seen them not pull bs either...

The only time my insurance company has done anything right was when they replaced my windshield for free...the rest of the time they have screwed my family over...10-20% liability for an accident where you aren't moving is bullshit...if they tried that shit with me I'd sue the fuck out of them...
