I have a 1998 I30 with 128,000 miles on it. It sat for a few days, and when I returned the following is occuring:
>clock not working
>heat/ac unit does not start automatically, reverts to off position when ignition is turned off
>keyless entry and truck release not working
>telescopic antenna not working (may not be related)
I cannot find a fuse that operates the above, and have no idea if these things are related. Anybody have any ideas or similar problems?
I have had another problem with the rear tail light assembly, it has warped. I am looking for a replacement, the dealer wants $340.
Any help appreciated.

Hi Somewhat of a Newbie myself but your symptoms sound like a short or a severed wire. The clock, climate control, keyless entry, trunk release and antenna are all powered by your battery which I'm sure you know. The climate control's settings are stored only when there's power present. So I'm thinking there's probably a circuit that runs all of the mentioned systems some when the car is off and others all of the time.
You could try popping out the clock and using a multimeter to see if there is any juice running to it?
Also you should have two sets of fuses under the hood and one underneath the stearing collumn. Did you check all of them?
Sorry wish I could be more help.
