I have an '88 corrolla that had been setting for three years. I decided to rebuild the carburetor. Now the car will not idle. It revs up to probably 3 or 4 thousand RPMs after stating and will not come down. I have tried adjusting the fast idle control and double checked all my hose connections. Pleeeease is there anyone that call help this tortured. soul :banghead:

On the side where no throttle cable are there is a screw that needs adjustment.turn in anti clockwise in small increments with that vacuum hose disconnected and engine running till you reach 1800 rpm.Reconnect vacuum hose and it should settle at about850>950 rpm,if still too high set idle screw.
