Which rims look better?

I've got a guy from honda-tech able to get me into a group buy for rotas and I want the slipstreams, but my buddies all say the GT3's look better. I downloaded a pic of my car from tires.com and photoshopped them both onto her.

I think having bronze rims is a phase, like when I had white ones.. I started hating them. I don't wanna end up regretting that buy and I think black ones will be a good choice. Plus, black slips are popular so I can sell them for some decent loot when I'm done with them..

I vote slipstreams, but I'm partial because I have them in 15's on my '94 hatch. I love those rims, had to wait 2 years to get them off my buddy but it was well worth it.

Did you have any speedo calibration problems with the 15's? How big is your tire offset? I'm going 16x7 with 50mm tires. My stock steelies are 15's with 65mm's and I don't wanna have the same size intertube tires if I get 15" slips. If I get 15's with 45-50mm tires, the total diameter of the wheel will be smaller, making the speedo sensor spin faster..

Edit: Nevermind, turns out my steelies are 14's. I found this site and calculated what I need for a 0% change on my speedo.

Glad you got the right combo. I just checked my tires and they are 195/50/15 but then I checked that link you put up and apparently mine are actually only .1% off from my 13's (speedometer says I'm going 65 but I'm really going 65.1mph). I know you got the info you needed already, just thought I'd post my findings anyways.

sorry ricochet but in my opinion the gt3's are fugly looking in that picture, however the slipstreams do look very nice.

one of the great things about the slipstreams is their weight, are the gt3's similar in weight?

I've been looking at the Rota Subzero, Rota mantis, or the Rota competition rims for my car to replace my Motegi MRM's... I'm tired of the heavy 17's look.

seriously brian i would rock the gt3's, despite my thorough liking for the slipstreams.

I totally agree. The polished lip is way too big on the gt3's..

I believe the gt3's are a bit heavier by a few pounds.

Subzero's are wicked rims, I love them.. but they are more expensive. There are a few reasons the slips are so popular, because they are dirt cheap, 12lbs, and look totally sick.. I'm not just buying them to fit in, I mean look at their specs.

I'm sorry but I do NOT like the look of the gt3's. I am pretty biased I guess since I have the rota slips on my car (in bronze no less) and I love them. Any pictures I have seen of the bronze rotas don't seem to do them justice. I have had mine on for quite some time and have never stopped liking them. The finish is very nice and holds up well, they are also easy to clean due to not having a bunch of small spaces to get into.

If those are the ONLY 2 sets of rims you have in mind, then personally I would go with the Rota GT3s. I would however suggest Silver with a polished lip if there going onto a black vehicle. Everyone, and there mom has Rota Slipstreams.

i was at a stereo shop and they had rims that said "ricochet" on of the spokes and i thought they were some tight rims too, if you had those....

i saw those same wheels on a red integra and everyone else i know thought they looked awesome because they were all mad tyte jdm. i thought they were all insane because those things are ugly. that is unless we time warp back to the 1980's where they might be in style?

lol none of you seen those rims on anything. Because if the car was featured in a magazine it wasn't sporting Rotas. Those rims are knock offs of Gab Sports. And even though I to dislike the red, they were offered in white with a polished lip, as well as silver with a polished lip. Overall a nice set of rims.

hey can you post more pictures of your $800 foglights?

i havent been able to take my mind off of them.

lol you guys are retarded. The fog lights weren't $800. Maybe you should go check JDMHP for the pricing, and stop assuming. I think your all a little jealous because I can afford to purchase those things, instead of being like the rest of the sheep, and buying Rotas.

I ended up getting a set of used Si wheels/tires for $300. I work at Du Pont and am going to get them powder coated gunmetal for free :D In pictures, black looks great.. in person, especially while driving, they look like hubcapless steelies.. I'll post pictures soon :)

I have always been afraid of the "missing hubcap" look. I thought I had gotten over it and allmost bought a set of black slips, but I think I've reconsidered.

If you like the look of OEM wheels, I would suggest the old GS-R fat fives. I've seen a set powder coated dark grey on a black civic coupe, and it look great, not to mention, original. I assume they would look just as good if not better on a hatch. Good luck...........fISH
