mr. clean

well today i went and got that mr. clean car wash kit and it really works you dont have to dry your car i was wondering who else has it and what you think of it?:iceslolan

DAMN, that's two VERY different opinions of the exact same product... :dunno:

first off it doesnt have much spraying power... 2nd the soap for it isnt that great because it doesnt lather like normal carwash soap does..3rd when u go to spray it off with the filtered water it doesnt have much pressure so ur standing there or 20 mins tryin to spray off the soap and by that time the filter has already been used up...4th it doesnt even dry itself like it does in the commercial! it does dry half way but u do have to use a towel to get most of it off.. its a waste of money, even if it did work great it would still cost too much to wash it because of the soap and the filters u will go through each time

it really all depends on ur water pressure also, i was able to do my truck (96' chevy Z-71 ext.cab) my moms (1997 chevy sub.) i was able to take my time on both and the filter had a bit more left over but i got a new one for my dads (1998 chevy c3500 crew cab long bed) and then my sisters (trail blazer ext) and the filter still looks new and the trucks all looked good took about 6 hrs for all 4 but got it all done good, my friend (manger at a washtub a car detailin place) asked if i brought it to him or somethings i was like nope mr clean did it all lol....out of 10 thumbs id give it 21 lol

I have this and it works ok it still leave water spots and you have to get some of the water off with the rag. It definately doesnt work like the commercial eventhough nothing does.

next mr.clean will come out with a wax to put back on your car after you strip it off with that no spot dry scam they got there


regular dawn dishsoap will give you the same results as washing your car with that stuff. all it really does is strip the wax off and it wont water spot.

as for the filtered water to rinse.. that one actually makes sense to use because it takes the mineral deposits out of the water. thats what really gives you the water spots on a car

The Mr.Clean stuff works great. Yes, the whole rinsing with the filtered water doesnt hold as much pressure as the soap or normal water, but it gets the job done.
And as far as the whole soap not lathering enough, think of it like this, conditioner doesnt lather as much as regular champoo, does that mean it's not working? (dont ask me how I know this, a freind gave me that example)

Bonus from all this, the gun looks like something off Halo (the plasma rifle!)

as i said it before if you got low water pressure it wont work at its best, if you have good water pressure then it will work at its best

as far as it not lathering, its kind of hard to tell where u washed... i have good water pressure.. but i have well water an its very high in acid.. so thats prolly why i can get through a filter fast

the lathering isnt that bad. You can tell where you passed over with a brush, it's just not covered in white suds. The filter lasts longer than normal (3 uses) for me. But I admit that some areas do still remain stained if not dried off...I usually fnid it places that water cant run down the car

Just buy a "The Absorber" chamoise at your local Autozone for $10. Wash it out of the sun, dry it with the chamoise, and then after it dries, if you have any water spots, wipe over with a dry lint-free soft towel, or wax the car. Either will remove the waterspots. I do this 10x a day and it works fine.
Also, be careful with pressurewashers. I don't know how powerful the ones you are using are, but at work I have honestly taken the clearcoat off a car with our pressure washers. So always be careful with them.
