Bent Frame from Towing

I just purchased a Travel Tralier that weighs 4600 lbs.and has a hitch weight of 575 lbs. I towed it about 200 miles and after I unhooked it I noticed that the bed by the cab was up about 3/4 of an inch. I thought it might just be the way it was parked so I drove to a parking lot and looked at it and sure enough it was humped in the middle of my truck. The lines from the cab to the bed are raised at least 3/4".
Has anyone ever experienced this or does anyone know what might have caused this? And would this be covered under my warranty. My truck is a 2004 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 2500 HD with a 6.0 v8 and 4.10 rear end
Thanks for your help!

I have towed a lot more weight than that with my 2003 2500HD extended cab long bed and I have never had anything like that happen... infact I have towed up to 12000lbs with my 89 1500 and never had that happen. I would bring the truck and the trailer to your dealer and talk to the service manager and see what he has to say. You may want to bring the trailer to a trailer shop and have the tonge reweighed just so you have a valid weight slip to show the dealer. If I am not mistaken a 2500HD has a rated tow capacity of 9300 or 9600lbs but I am not sure what the tonge weight capacity is.
I have seen this before with a friends F350 crew cab long bed but the situation was alot different. He was towing a Bobcat on a tri-axle beaver tail trailer without trailer brakes and someone cut him off, he said when he jammed his brakes on the trailer kept pushing and the frame bent between the cab and the bed.
He was towing alot more weight than you were.
I hope this helped you on which direction to take.

I can't see a dealer warranting it. They will say you where carring to much weight doesn't matter what you tell them. The only way they will warrenty it if they see a fault it the frame. So you will have to go to a autobody shop so they can see it to. I can't see it cost to much, I had a similar problem but mine was the other way though a jack under the frame chain the front and back and jacked it up took about 15 mins.

After I towed my truck also has this problem, 03 K1500HD Silverado Quadrasteer 6.0. My dealer checked it out, said the frame rails just behind the cab were rolled over, but that it can't happen from towing....well what causes it then? He said that it may have been hoisted with a heavy load. I don't agree with this, as I have a repair garage, I'm the only one to have hoisted it... the problem surfaced after towing!! So I jumped on the net to see if anyone else had this problem & found you.
