84 wheel

Does anybody have any experience or opinion on wheel straightening? I have an 84 vette that I have had and driven for 11 yrs. and did not realize until recently that one wheel is out of round. It is not bad enough to feel on the road, but I could see it when spun on the balancer. I'm debating whether to send it to a place that straightens but I'm not sure if this is prudent or not. I'm tempted to leave as is, but I know it will eventually result in a little uneven tread wear on the recent skins I bought.
