How to remove windshield wiper arms?

Can someone tell me how to remove the entire windhshield wiper arm on a '95 Rodeo? I took the nut off that is inder the plastic cap, but the wiper arm won't pull off.....

its kind of pressed on by the nut you can use a carpenters hammer (claw side ) to pry it up I would suggest you place a rag down on the vehicle and then a peice of wood so that when you pry on it you dont dent or scratch the hood. But they can usually be pulled off by hand by rocking it back and forth while pulling up on it

you might have to lift the arm off the window and press down on the lower half at the same time to relief some of the pressure on the bolt
