Made a decision last winter to buy a Ford again, but I have regretted this since the first week I owned it.
Do yourself a favor and read this before buying one, or letting a friend buy one.

Dwayne,
It looks like you just discovered what every Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln owner with any sort of problem has know for 20 years. Ford does NOT CARE. As long as people buy them, your commentary will fall on deaf ears.

I have not driven the new f150 so I can not say much about your complaints- as far as interior room, I felt the same way about every reg cab truck I have been in. They all seem cramped to me. From what I have seen, the engineering in the structure of the truck and the tests I have seen it go through are very impressive. If having trouble getting stuck, new tires may solve that. Tires are what get you stuck and unstuck more so than the vehicle itself. The first thing I do when I buy any new truck is get new tires and give the OE's back to the dealer. They are all putting on those sissy highway tires for the bulk market of city slickers. Have you considered stepping up to a 3/4 ton? After two chevy, two ford and one dodge half tons, I had enough. Bought an '03 F250 Super Duty with the V10. Bar none the best truck I ever owned!! It runs circles around the rest.

Having had an 89 ranger for 15 years I welcomed the extra room behind the seats. The added mini door makes it even better! I can recline a lot farther and adjust the seat to better accomadate my legs. My friends 03 150 does not compare to the room in my new 04 150. Yes, the tires s--k, but I,ve never seen REAL truck tires sold on a new truck unless ordered. Still have the ranger, 223600 miles and still strong. Only normal maintenance and repairs!!!!!!!
