radiator flush, s-10 blazer

is there anything besides sticking a water hose in the radiator and flushing it out that needs to be done while flushing out the radiator?

the fluid in my moms blazer is real dirty looking. 99 s-10 blazer.

Well GM uses Dex-cool so Iunless you get it all out make sure you use dex-cool coolant again ... What I did in my 94 S10 was to take the upper off and the lower and run a hose through the upper to flush the engine in addition to getting all the fluid out of the rad ...

you also should run it through the lower hose or somewhere on the other end of your heater core to flush out both directions it doesnt get alot more but being your doing it anyways might as well have it as clean as possible. You can also buy radiator cleaner to use before you flush it out it has higher levels of detergents to clean better also.
