knock sensor replacement

where is the cheapest place i can buy a new knock sensor for a '98 Maxima?? Has anybody gotten 0304 error code? If so, did replacing your knock sensor solve this problem or can it be a wiring problem? I'm just feeling reluctant to change this thing cause i heard it costs $150 and im not entirely convinced that changing this sensor will improve my car's performance. I'd appreciate any advice. thanks
