valve cover gasket

Have a son some 700 miles from me who has gotten himself into a mess it sounds like. He is trying to change out a valve cover gasket on a 2.5 grand am 1990 and can't get something removed to get at the bolt in one area. He is not very mechanicly inclinde so his explanation of what he see's is leaving me to offer little help. I am looking for a photo of engine or a diagram on the net but have little luck finding anything.

anyone out there know of a answer to the kids problem or have a place for a photo

Try the Pontiac area and post in the Grand Am forum (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=385), where I'm sure somebody can help you better. I can't find any engine pictures of the 90-91's on the internet.
