Battery died on previous owner and set off alarm. He replaced the battery, engine wouldn't start and someone told him the problem was in the drivers door which he then tore apart to no avail. The engine turns over but will not start, rest of car is in very good condition and I can buy it cheap. Can anyone tell me how to fix the problem?

The anti-theft only prevents operation of the starter and will not prevent the engine from starting if the engine is cranking. Check to see if there is spark & that the fuel pump is running.

I woudl check the fuse box. All it takes is one blown fuse and the car won't start for nothing. I was messing with the fuses on my car to try to get my alarm light to come on and it i put one of the fuses in the wrong place. The car would roll over, but just wouldn't fire up. I had a fuse in The wrong place. Give that a try

i had the same prob a couple of days ago when i disconnected the battery to clean the terminals, when i connected it again the alrm went off
it took me about 2 hours to figure out how to get the car started and get the alarm to go quiet
at first i cut off the wire to the siren then tried a thousand things ... which did not work then finally i said one last try till i take it in.. then
just put the key in the driver side door and turned the key twice towards the left and walla!!!
guess what it stopped...
