I have recently purchased a 1995 Eclipse GSX, but the only problem is that it is an automatic. I was wondering if anyone knew if a 94' GSX transmission would fit if I were to pull the auto. Also, what all would I need in order to make the swap (part wise)? Thanks for your help.

How much do you want for the auto tranny?

That sux that it won't fit. Would I have to go to a dealer and got a new one for that year, or what model transmissions would bolt up to it? I plan on doing on all the work myself, so cost of the tranny isn't a big deal.

but how are you going to do with the pedals?, cause i undestood that is not an easy swap, nor for the tranny cause is a bolt on but you have to install your pedals, all the clutch lines, it sound pretty difficult

IMO not worth the trouble. Sell it and get a 5 speed model. In fact get a 1G if you're buying that old anyhow.

get a 1G?? seriously? I would if i could stand that body style... to answer about the pedals, i have a buddy who does a lot of custom work, and stuff like that, so me and him were going to just figure it out as we went for all the linkages and pedals.... i figured once i get all the right componets it shouldn't be to big of a deal... just have to get my hands on all the right pieces.

I've participated in an auto to manual swap in a 2g NT. Its a pain in the ass. It can be done, with a good bit of money, and a lot of down time waiting for stupid little things. If its really that necessary do it. But for me, I would rather change cars. ;)
