I have a 99 burb, with about 95k on the clock. Never had a problem at all until the other day. I was driving down the road at about 45mph, and it completely died. I checked the shrader valve on the fuel lines at the injector, and nothing. I also cannot hear the fuel pump whine, or the relay click. I know that I might have a fuel pump problem, but could it also just be a relay? Now here's the kicker: I removed a spark plug, and grounded it out against the exhaust manifold during my initial diagnosis, and I also have no spark at all. It has a fresh alternator, strong battery, and cranks very well. Anybody got any suggestions/words of wisdom? I have a hard time swallowing the fact that both ignition, and fuel systems went at the same time with out any notice or prior symptoms. Like I said, before this little mishap, never even a hick-up out of her.

You should have a fuse box under the hood close to the ECM. Check the ECM fuse, that would stop the pump and ignition. Check any other fuse that has anything to do with ECM, fuel pump, or ignition. Hope this helps, I'm just taking a wild stab here.

Not sure but I've seen camshaft and crankshaft position sensors cause issues like this. If the computer isn't getting the indication it's turning over it doesn't turn on the fuel and spark.

for anyone who is interested/or has the same problem, the culprit was the crankshaft switch. And to make matters worse, you cannot buy one over the counter at the local parts store. Ya gotta get it from the dealer.
