ignition help

ok we have a 1978 pontaic 400 trans am. we just bought a whole new msd ignition and we cant get our car to start. (remeber before all this it was running all stock and worked fine. we upgraded cuz the other stuff was old and looked bad) now weve put a timing light in there so we can tell f the thing is sparking at all and the light is telling us its not working (cuz theres no flash ) (remember the whole igntion is new we bought new plugs, plug wires, coil, cap, rotor, and springs. if you have any help or suggestions please let me know.

hi,try bypassing the ignition box by running a wire from the hot post on the battery to the hot post on the coil.if it starts youre losing fire,probably theignition box.just an idea.jimmy
