Scratched Windows

I have a 91 Dodge Stealth and both the drivers and passenger side window are scratched up pretty bad. it was like this when i first got that car.... any suggestions on how i could get the scratches out??

You're going to have to change the glass. When you do, make sure to clean the weather stripping out so it doesn't happen again.

Thanx guyz, should i replace the weather stripping also? or is it that theres just grit in there?

My windows had vertical scratches in them from sand/dirt getting caught between the weatherstripping and the glass. I wanted to tint them, but had to replace them before getting it done. Tint will make those scratches a lot more noticable. I removed the rubber and cleaned it as well as I could, and haven't had a problem. BUT, if your rubber is cracking, or is too dry, you may as well replace it, because you'll just end up with the same problem later on. Don't give grit a chance to get in between there and scratch your new glass.

Yea, i was gonna tint mine then i thought that the scratches would be more noticable, considering their noticable now.. so imma wait and replace them then tint it...but all the weather stripping on my car was dried out when i got it. but now i got half of it lookin brand new.. but the ones where the windows go into it are halfway descent but i think they'll be alright.. im sure the mitsu. dealer wants about 300 for each one considering i had to pay 500 just for one door skin on my car :(
