Hello,
I'm new to this forum. I have a question. On my 93 S-10 4.3 liter w engine, do I have to bleed off pressure in fuel line before I replace my fuel filter? If so where is the bleed point? Also is there a how to page or any helpful tips type place in this forum?

all you have to do is remove the the fuel pump relay and crank the engine for about 5 seconds. it might start and die out or it might only crank. this will relieve the fuel pressure. make sure you remove the gas cap as well to make sure there is no pressure in the tank. good luck!

Thanks for the info on the pressure relief.
I'll look for the relay, I'm assuming it's in the fuse block.

I've changed my fuel filter a few times and havn't bled off the pressure. Just be careful when losening the lines not to put any prssure on them. Once you break the seal, fuel will come out, not much, maybe 1/4 cup worth. Change the filter, then when you go to start it, let the pump pressurize the system, and it may take a second try to start it, allowing the air to be forced out of the lines through the engine. And your all set. Very easy.
