Instead of having a flag preceeding the athletes at the opening ceremony we'll have a car to represent that country. The countries that produce no cars will be sent home to think about how much they suck.
So lets see which cars do you think should represent each country. It doesn't have to be the fastest car, rather the car that represents best its culture and what it stands for. It can be only one car!!!
USA - viper, its the modern interpretation of the muscle car
Italy - 360 Modena exotic sexy and spunky all wraped up in an aerodinamical elgance
Japan - EVO MR small engine - hight output, high tech drivetrain, still practical
Germany - M3 is there something high tech that ze germans forgot to put in...probably not, bottom line pinacle of automotive technology, very fast, very luxurious
UK - DB9 proper sports car, every bit as sexy as the modena however trades some spunk for more elegance and british class. You can only race in it, wearing a proper Armani suit, anything less would be uncivilised.

Nice topic :D
I have 2 comments however.
1. The German representative would have to be the 911 Turbo
2. Change the Armani suit for a Savile Row one if you're gonna race the DB9 :p

Well on two I could not think of any british designer house so I just went with an italian one.
However on one i disagree, while the 911 tt is without a doubt a proper german car, I think the BMWs are better representative for them with their mirriads of electronics: 20 types of stability systems in case of rain, snow, gravel, war, ocean, or for the JDM market Gozilla related tremmors , multimedia interfaces, hill assist, downhill assist, sidehill assist, ISS docking capabilities ETC...

i agree with your italian and usa picks. but like crazayjay said, i would pick a porsche for a german car. but i would go with the gt3. the bmw is nice, but i can't get passed the track-readiness of the gt3. then again, the bmw does represent germany with electronics, but also, the porsche is a feat in engineering. who would think a flat-6 in the rear of a car work out so well.
