When My Grandfather Owned my current Car, a 1986 Buick Riviera. When you entered it performed a test and displayed Rivera by Buick It No Longer does it. Any Ideas of why it doesn't work? Know any codes I can Enter or something to get it to come back?

This is the Zenith 9" Video Monitor which was power up by pushing in the door button. It also turned on the interior light and all was controlled by an electronics module fed by a fuse in the fuseholder box on the right side of the console 4 screws. There is a relay which would either stick or so people had to remove the fuse or it would run down the battery overnight by powering up the CRT filament and not turning off. There is also a CPS Central Powewr Supply that is located baove the brake pedal which has exhibited cold solder joints and would not allow power for the heater, high beams, gauges..etc. I drove 500 miles in december at 10 degrees and fixed it the next day !!
If you replace the fuse, you will probably get all the wake up smarts but be sure to check to make sure it turns off at night..no heat should be coming from the louvers on top of the video monitor after an hour or so. Otherwise you will have to feed one end of the fuseholder thru a fuse switched from the ignition switch but will not get the Riviera by Buick script upon entering the car, Good Luck !
