service lights

can someone help me reset my service light on a 94 318i? I heard there is :newbie: a way to do it without using the expensive tool sold at the dealer. :newbie:

You can pick up a cheap reset tool for about $15. Check ebay or some of the bmw sites. I don't know how well they work but for $15 it might be worth a try.
